Reform UK leader Nigel Farage has sent Sir Sadiq Khan a major political warning after the London Mayor slammed his migration announcement.
Ahead of Mr Farage's announcement, the Mayor of London said: "Thousands of Londoners have indefinite leave to remain. They have legal rights and are our friends, neighbours and colleagues, contributing hugely to our city. Threatening to deport people living and working here legally is unacceptable.”
However, firing back at his press conference earlier today, Mr Farage said: "What about the ones that aren't working?
"What about the ones that never have worked and never will work? What about having an honest debate about those we've let into this country? Many of whom are great people.
"Fine, we understand that. But too many of whom are not. We've totally, totally misunderstood what a work permit, what a work visa is. It's been a back door to full-time settlement."
He added: "We will do battle with Mayor Khan in the 32 London boroughs that are up for election next May, and I'll answer more directly questions from him when the time comes."

Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey has claimed the party could win "way more" than 100 seats at the next election.
At last year's General Election, the party gained 64 seats, becoming the third largest party in the UK with 72 seats.
Asked if he is hoping to win 100 seats when the country next goes to a general election, Sir Ed said: "There is no ceiling on our ambitions. You would be surprised about how many seats we are looking at now.
"We were surprised at the last election, our best result for 100 years. My prediction is: we will be the big surprise of the next election."
Pressed again whether he would put a number of 100 on it, Sir Ed said: "I am way more ambitious."
Recognising Palestine is 'catastrophic misjudgement' says Suella Braverman
Former Home Secretary Suella Braverman said the decision to recognise a Palestinian state is "catastrophic misjudgement".
Writing in The Telegraph, the MP for Fareham and Waterlooville said: "It is painful to watch Britain’s standing in the Middle East reduced to tatters.
"Britain has alienated Israel, a trusted and vital security partner, while signalling to moderate Arab states that it is not a reliable friend when under pressure from extremists.
"Every right-thinking person longs for lasting peace in the Middle East. But unilateral recognition is a reckless gesture that makes it even more improbable, while, in the meantime, fuelling antisemitism at home and tarnishing Britain’s legacy as a force for stability."

Ed Davey refuses to say if he would form coalition with Labour to stop Nigel Farage getting into Downing Street
Sir Ed Davey declined to say whether he would join a coalition with Labour after the next election if it meant preventing a Reform UK government.
Asked repeatedly whether he would consider entering a coalition with Labour, the Liberal Democrat leader did not give a clear answer.
He told the BBC: "My moral responsibility as the leader of a party that has particular values is to speak up for those values and champion those values. And at the moment we’re the only party championing those values.
"I’ve been deeply disappointed by the Labour Government. I think they’ve failed so many people, pensioners, disabled people, small businesses, large businesses, the farmers.
"We need a voice that is offering real change and real hope for our country with a proper economic policy, rebuilding our relationship with Europe."

Zack Polanski says Gatwick expansion is 'deeply irresponsible'
Green Party leader Zack Polanski has slammed the Labour Government's decision to greenlight a second runway at Gatwick Airport.
Mr Polanski branded the decision "deeply irresponsible" and that Labour is "pretending to care about reducing emissions".
The London Assembly member told the Independent: "In places like London, we’re rightly asking people to change their habits around the way they drive, but we’re still subsidising aviation fuel.
"And I think people will see the contradictions.
“I think also, it’s always important to point out that it’s only 15 per cent of people who take 70 per cent of the flights.
“So the whole argument about economic growth, when actually the people leaving the country outnumber the people coming in three to one, so actually you can make a legitimate argument that’s actually taking wealth out of the country.”
Labour MP slams Nigel Farage's 'half-baked' migrant plan
Labour Party Chair, Anna Turley MP, has responded to Reform UK’s press conference, saying: "Nigel Farage’s not even half-baked plan is unfunded, unworkable and falling apart in real time".
“Their policy was in pieces before their press conference even started when they relied on discredited numbers," she said.
"And now Reform have been forced to admit that their policy does not apply to people from the EU - destroying Farage's claims that it covers all foreign-born nationals."
Ms Turley added that Mr Farage was "unable to say how many families his policy would break up", as well as the costs to businesses, "what would happen to pensioners and how long it would take to implement".
"Basic questions that any serious political party would know the answers to before making an announcement like this," she added.
“They're just not serious. Yet again they're chasing headlines with no plan. It's just more of the don’t know answers the British public has come to expect from Farage and Reform.”

"Even though he tried to caveat what he said ... Hamas and the Palestinian cause are inseparable."

"And frankly being written off and told they're a victim," Nigel Farage said.
"It's not good for them either."
He added that it will take time to tackle the issue, saying "our ultimate aspiration would be to raise the £20,000 threshold at which people currently start paying tax".
Reform UK won't disappoint voters on migration
Nigel Farage responded to a question about disappointing voters due to his ambitious strategy to tackle UK migration, saying "I understand we're aiming ... high".

Labour and Conservative Governments 'happy to have open-door migration'

"That is why we've not had a proper, full national debate about this."
The Reform leader said that "large-scale migration" was making Britain "substantially poorer".
Reform UK will introduce new 'acute skills shortage visa'
Zia Yusuf says Reform will establish new 'acute skills shortage visa'
|GB NEWS
Nigel Farage's Reform UK will establish a new "acute skills shortage visa" which will carry a strict cap on numbers.
Zia Yusuf said that "any employer that is sponsoring via this visa will have to pay a levy that is in turn spent on training the equivalent British worker for that role".
Mr Yusuf added that "national critical functions" would be filled to build up the "native British capacity" for the long-term.
"(Our policies) can be summed up by the statement that a Reform Government under Nigel expects migrants to more than pay their way, not commit crime and ultimately to speak English and contribute to this country," he said.
Reform UK will 'abolish indefinite leave to remain'
Nigel Farage said the cost of the 800,000 or more people who will qualify for leave to remain over the next three years was about £230billion.

He said: "We will not only say that these people do not qualify for indefinite leave to remain, we will abolish indefinite leave to remain as a category in this country".

Nigel Farage has slammed Boris Johnson's legal migration record.
"Under a Reform Government welfare will be for UK citizens only, it will not be for foreign-born nationals," he said.
"Indeed we'll become like most normal countries in the world."
The Reform UK leader said that "what we're focusing on is the Boriswave".
"The Boriswave after his huge victory in 2019, and I think the millions that came in the years of his premiership represents the greatest betrayal of democratic wishes certainly in anyone’s living memory," he added.
“This is not what Brexit voters wanted and it is certainly not what any Conservative voter from 2010 onwards wanted.”

He said he had been told for "years" that it was "good for the economy and that's all that matters".
"Far too many that have come, don't work, haven't worked, and never will work," Nigel Farage said.
"When you realise that most that come are very low skilled and on vyer low wages, you start to get a very, very different picture ... in fact you start to get a massive benefits bill."
He declared that he was here to "make massive future cuts to welfare spending".
Yvette Cooper warns Israel against expanding West Bank settlements
The Foreign Secretary has warned Israel against expanding its settlements in the West Bank after Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested the UK recognising Palestine would damage peace hopes.
Ms Cooper said: "We have been clear, and I have been clear to the Israeli Foreign Minister, we have been clear to the Israeli Government, that they must not do that".
"We have been clear that this decision that we are taking is about the best way to respect the security for Israel as well as the security for Palestinians."

"We will continue to work with everyone across the region in order to be able to do that," Ms Cooper said.

He insisted the Conservatives had developed comprehensive plans to regain control of Britain's borders.
Speaking on The People's Channel, the Tory minister said: “This is going further than anybody thought. Often, you know, it’s just a tweet or a press conference from Nigel Farage, but what we need are firm plans."
Palestinian recognition holds 'open the hope of two states', Middle East Minister says
Hamish Falconer speaking about Labour's decision behind recognising Palestine
|GB NEWS
Hamish Falconer has told GB News that recognising Palestine was done to "hold open the hopes of two states" living side by side.
The Middle East Minister said that people "across the country" were concerned about the violence in Gaza along with the hostages still not being released from Hamas captivity.
"We're recognising the state of Palestine ... (and have) set out a way ahead on how we would establish full relations," Mr Falconer said.
He added that the Palestinian authority is recognised by most of the world as the "legitimate Palestinian authority" and it had made a "very important commitment" that any future state would be demilitarised so it would "pose no threat to Israel".
Mr Falconer acknowledged that "Hamas are a violent terrorist organisation" and there was "no role for Hamas" in any future state.
Matt Vickers says UK recognising Palestine brings 'huge shame on this country'
Following the announcement by Sir Keir Starmer that the UK is recognising the state of Palestine, Conservative MP Matt Vickers said it "brings huge shame on this country".
He told GB News that "we should be working with the US in trying to get these hostages back".
"They've now been there for two years in the worst of circumstances," Mr Vickers said.
He added that the UK should also be working with the US to get that aid into Gaza and "bring about some of the suffering of those innocent men and women and children".
"We should also be working to ensure that a terrorist organisation like Hamas does not have control ... over anybody," he said.
"This is a reward for terrorism."

A second runway at Gatwick Airport has been given the green light by the Government.
The northern runway, which already exists and runs parallel to the main one at Gatwick, is currently out of use as it has been deemed too close.
the £2.2billion expansion project will see it moved 12 metres north in order for both to be used at the same time.
It would facilitate 100,000 extra flights a year, 14,000 extra jobs and £1billion extra each year for the economy.
No public money will go towards the expansion which could be operational by 2029.
Islamophobia definition could deter police, Lord Hermer adviser says
The Labour Party's Islamophobia definition could hamper police, particularly with investigating Muslim offenders, according to an adviser to Lord Harmer.
Tom Cross KC, a member of a panel which acts for the Attorney General, added that free speech in the workplace and in public could be restricted under Labour's plans.
A definition in reaction to the rise in anti-Muslim hate incident has seen a working group, headed by former Tory Attorney General Dominic Grieve, set up.
Mr Cross said it was "reasonable" to "suppose that such a definition" could be used to object to police and security services to investigate persons who are Muslim for criminal offences.
He added that it could be used to rewrite hate crime and harassment laws.

The Coventry South MP said she had spoken with "comrades across our movement" and came to the conclusion that for the "sake of the party, and as an act of good faith" she will pull proceedings.
She acknowledged "many people are feeling demoralised" which "I share".
"I am determined to reconcile and move forward," Ms Sultana said.

Wes Streeting and Israel's ex-Defence Minister trade social media pot-shots after PM recognises Palestine
Health Secretary Wes Streeting and Israel's ex-Defence Minister Yoav Gallant traded social media pot-shots last night after Sir Keir Starmer confirmed he would be recognising Palestine at the UN this week.
Mr Gallant had blasted: "There will never be a Palestinian state.
"Starmer, the British Mandate ended 77 years ago. You should focus on the Islamist surge in the UK, not on Israel."
The Health Secretary - who won his seat last summer by just 500 votes against a pro-Gaza independent candidate - said in response: "That first sentence vindicates the judgement of our Prime Minister.
"Recognition isn’t a victory for Hamas. It’s a defeat for those who do not see the lives of Israelis and Palestinians as being of equal worth."

IN-DEPTH: What is the 'Boriswave'?
Boris Johnson's Government let in millions of migrants to Britain, nicknamed the 'Boriswave'
| PAAt the start of this year, the Adam Smith Institute warned that 2025 would be Britain's last chance to avoid a long-term migration catastrophe of Boris Johnson's making.
Senior Tories had hailed how leaving the EU would let Britain be "immigration liberals" - and attract the world's best and brightest.
But millions then arrived - and warnings have risen since that hundreds of thousands of these migrants will drain Britain's finances.
With Reform UK now pledging to reverse the Boriswave, GB News members can read the full story on the "ticking time bomb" - as well as why Boris Johnson himself "managed to escape scrutiny" for it.
