Reform UK is also predicted to fall agonisingly short of picking up Louth & Horncastle from Health Secretary Victoria Atkins.

Tory Party insiders feared a resurgent Reform following Farage's return as leader just a few weeks before polls opened.

Tory Party chairman Richard Holden, Defence Secretary Grant Shapps, Common Sense Minister Esther McVey, Veterans Minister Johnny Mercer, former Business Secretary Jacob Rees-Mogg and Attorney General Victoria Prentis all face being defeated by Labour challengers.

The Liberal Democrats could also topple Chancellor Jeremy Hunt, Justice Secretary Alex Chalk and Science Secretary Michelle Donelan.

Chief Whip Simon Hart could even miss out to Plaid Cymru by 5,941 votes.

However, it is not all good news for Starmer's Labour Party.

Former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn looks set to retain Islington North, with Workers Party leader George Galloway also performing well in Rochdale.

The Green Party could also pick up Bristol Central from Shadow Commons Leader Thangam Debbonaire.
