Boris Johnson makes shock speech at Tory rally as he warns against 'mandatory wokery'

Boris Johnson shocked a crowd at a Tory rally with a surprise appearance where he issued a desperate plea for voters to back the Tories.

The former prime minister did not refer to his successor, Rishi Sunak, too often but he did take aim at Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer.

He said a Labour government would hike taxes radically and enforce 'mandatory wokery'.
