Karim, a regular at a pub in York, has shared his thoughts on the rising cost of a pint.
He called the Government’s tax and business rate hikes “disgraceful,” saying they threaten the future of local pubs.
Despite the increases, Karim said he would be willing to pay more to support his favourite pub and its landlord.
He warned, however, that higher prices could push other customers away, affecting both community and business.
