Two children have died and nine have been injured,
Prime Minister Keir Starmer has spoken out after Southport stabbings that took place earlier today.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday evening, Merseyside Police Chief Constable Serena Kennedy confirmed the deaths.
Keir Starmer said that he "can't imagine what the victim's families are going through" and thanked the emergency services for responding quickly.
