MP praises GB News viewers and listeners for raising £55,000 for nuclear test veterans

Labour MP Rebecca Long-Bailey has expressed gratitude to GB News viewers who raised £55,000 to fund Christmas celebrations for British nuclear test veterans.

The MP praised the generous donations which enabled a Christmas lunch and holiday for military veterans who witnessed Britain's atomic weapons tests.

The event proved highly successful, though Long-Bailey was unable to attend due to parliamentary commitments.

"Firstly, huge thanks to all the GB News viewers who donated to this. I know they had a fantastic time," Long-Bailey said.

She emphasised the ongoing fight for justice, stating: "We've just got to keep going, because this is another historic injustice. These men and their families deserve justice and compensation for what they've been through."
