The Ukrainian leader arrived in the US ahead of his meeting with the president tomorrow
Donald Trump has announced plans for a fresh summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine — just a day before he is due to meet Volodymyr Zelensky.
The former president said he and Putin would meet “soon” in Budapest following a two-hour phone call he described as “productive”. The Kremlin has confirmed the meeting is in the works, although no date has been set.
It comes as the Ukrainian leader arrived in the US seeking more military support, including long-range offensive missiles, ahead of his talks with Trump on Friday.
