A Tory MP has said that a proscribed terrorist group have been targeting hotels housing migrants to recruit supporters

Jonathan Gullis said proscribed terror group Tizb ut-Tahrir were openly viewing hotels in Stoke-on-Trent as a ‘recruiting ground’.

Speaking on GB News, Jonathan Gullis said:

“I think you know my views on this issue regarding deportation. To be fair, the Prime Minister is doing everything he can from what I've been witnessing and all the conversations I've had, to try and stop the boats.

“It’s not gone anywhere near as quickly as I'd like it to have done. I think there are other ideas and solutions like leaving the ECHR which has absolutely got to be something that we do.

“But ultimately, I think once we undo the pesky House of Lords with all their ridiculous amendments, and the virtue signalling from people like Justin Welby, are ignored and resigned to the dustbin of history, then we can actually make sure we get that flight off and ultimately protect this country.

“Because at the moment we've got all these young single males who are undocumented, coming into this country. We have no idea who they are, what their intentions are, and actually, far too many of them are entering the black market.

“This means that ultimately they're putting lives at risk as well as being vulnerable themselves to extremists.

“I've seen that in Stoke on Trent with Hizb ut-Tahrir, targeting hotels where people have been kept and seeing that as a recruiting ground.

“That is the last thing I need for my city.”
