The pageant is the final event of the four day celebrations to mark Her Majesty's 70 years of reign

Royal fans managed to catch a glimpse of the Queen as the Platinum Jubilee celebrations draw to a close with a colourful street pageant.

The ambitious £15 million event is split into four acts: For Queen and Country with a military parade; The Time of Our Lives progressing through seven decades of culture, music and fashion; Let’s Celebrate telling the story of the Queen’s life in 12 chapters with corgi puppets and carnival creations; and the Happy and Glorious musical spectacle.

Guardsmen, Gurkhas, Royal Marines and the Household Cavalry Mounted Regiment in their breastplates and plumed feathers were among the hundreds of servicemen and women who led the way marching along the streets around Buckingham Palace.

In the early stages of the event, the Gold State Coach, a carriage used for coronations and Jubilees paraded around the streets surrounding the palace.

Within the carriage, which hasn't been seen since 2002, was a projected hologram of her Majesty on her coronation day.

Among the early arrivals to the pageant included Prime Minister Boris Johnson, London Mayor Sadiq Khan, The Princess Royal and Princess Beatrice.

Prince Charles and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were also in attendance, as were Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

Louis stole the show once again as he outwardly showed his emotion during the pageant, with Mike Tindall earlier jokingly warning him about his behaviour following his Trooping the Colour performance.

Sir Cliff Richard, Katherine Jenkins and Bonnie Langford are among the famous faces who made an appearance.

Bear Grylls also appeared alongside his son in a Land Rover Defender.

A peloton of 300 cyclists, riding vintage bikes from across the seven decades of the Queen’s reign, travelled The Mall led by Sir Chris Hoy and cycling golden couple Dame Laura and Sir Jason Kenny.
