Two trains collided in a town north of Barcelona this morning, leaving more than 150 people injured.
Around 7:50am a train crashed into that back of another at Montcada i Reixac station, passengers were reported to have screamed during the collision.
The passengers were evacuated from the vehicles within half an hour of the collision.

Currently, 150 people have sustained light injuries, five are in a “moderate” condition and three have been taken to hospital with more severe injuries such as broken bones, according to local media.

One passenger told radio station RAC1 that the “train was full and my carriage, which was the last one, was completely full.”
The rail operator in a statement said: “There was a collision between two trains at 7:50 am at the Montcada i Reixac-Manresa station, on the line heading to Barcelona, that's to say one train ran into the back of another”.

Investigations are ongoing into the incident.
A spokeswoman for the SEM regional emergency services said: “There were 155 people affected of which 150 were lightly injured and five who were moderately hurt.”
Rail traffic was suspended across the line while investigations took place.
