Chery, GAC and GWM are all expected to unveil further details in the coming months

A number of new Chinese car brands are set to launch in the UK in the coming months as manufacturers look to continue their global expansion.

Jameel Motors is partnering with popular Chinese brand GAC to roll out a new range of electric vehicles across the UK in the coming years.

The joint venture, which has been described as "innovative", is one of the first of its kind with a Chinese manufacturer in the UK market.

Two new electric models will be available from GAC through Jameel Motors, including the C-segment AION V SUV, and the B-segment AION UT hatchback.

AION, which is a subsidiary of GAC, will begin selling vehicles through select retail partners across the UK, with first customer deliveries expected in the first few months of 2026.

Additional models are expected to be sold through the AION line-up, with further details about pricing to follow.

Jameel Motors already sells electric vehicles in the UK via its Farizon Auto brand and the SV electric van, which retails for £45,000.

The SV has an impressive all-electric range of up to 342 miles, a charging time of just 36 minutes and a max gross payload of 1,350kg.

Jasmmine Wong, CEO of Jameel Motors, stated: "The joint venture with GAC represents a shared vision, and an exciting opportunity to meet the UK's growing demand for smarter, cleaner passenger vehicles.

"Led by customer preference and guided by our expertise, we're committed to staying ahead of trends and delivering first-class solutions that are both innovative and sustainable."

Chery UK has also confirmed that the Tiggo 7 will be launching at a price of £24,995 for the 1.6-litre TDGI engine and £29,995 for the Super Hybrid.

The Wuhu-based manufacturer is moving forward with its popular Tiggo 7 model, which has proven to be a success in China and around the world for many years.
