Millions of elderly people 'set to be better off' by dramatic boost to state pensions

Millions of elderly people across the UK are "set to be better off" as the state pension rises by 8.5 per cent today.

Political Commentator, Benedict Spence explained the move by the Conservatives to boost the state pensions.

This represents the second-ever largest rise in the state pension rate.
