A much-loved pizza chain will soon be transformed, treating its customers to a new type of dining experience - one that might be reminiscent of the pandemic.
Pizza Hut is implementing digital ordering screens across all 136 of its dine-in restaurants in the UK in a bid that is set to transform loyal customers' classic restaurant experience.
The chain, which employs 3,000 staff members, is focusing on launching a comprehensive digital overhaul aimed at modernising its customer service approach.

"Over the coming months we are introducing new customer-facing technologies across our restaurants, including digital ordering through QR codes and the installation of in-store kiosks," a company letter to staff revealed.
It added: "These changes are designed to enhance the customer experience and allow guests to be more self-sufficient when dining with us."
The company has made substantial investments in new technologies to align with shifting customer preferences.
"As part of this journey, we are adapting our staffing model, particularly in our front-of-house teams," the company added in its communication to employees.

As a result, the transformation will result in approximately 120 redundancies from front-of-house positions, affecting a substantial portion of the chain's workforce as the company shifts towards automated ordering systems in response to evolving consumer preferences.
"While these decisions are never easy, they are necessary to ensure we continue meeting customer expectations and stay competitive in an increasingly digital marketplace," the company added, promising to assist those being made redundant.
Pizza Hut first established its presence in the UK in 1973, eventually operating over 260 restaurants at its peak with 10,000 employees serving three million customers monthly.
