UK consumers are being urged to immediately cease using two products purchased from Amazon following urgent safety warnings issued by the Office for Product Safety and Standards.

The Government body announced the recalls on December 24, flagging both items as presenting high-level risks.

The affected products are the Enjoy & Love Kids Trampoline with Safety Net 55" and A4R Water Beads, both originating from China.

British shoppers who have bought either item should take immediate action, as the trampoline poses serious injury risks while the water beads present a significant asphyxiation hazard to young children.

The children's trampoline has been flagged for multiple safety failings that breach the Toys (Safety) Regulations 2011.

Regulators found the product lacks crucial safety warnings and offers inadequate visibility for safe entry and exit.

The zip access point is coloured black, blending into the surrounding enclosure netting and making it difficult to locate during emergencies.

Furthermore, the protective enclosure fails to meet minimum height specifications, which increases the likelihood of users falling from the equipment.

Authorities rejected the import at the border, and Amazon has subsequently removed the listing from its marketplace. The recall was notified by Local Authority Trading Standards.

The A4R Water Beads have been classified as posing a severe choking danger to young children. When swallowed in their expanded, hydrated state, these gel beads can obstruct a child's airway.

The multicoloured beads, packaged in a plastic bottle, fail to comply with the General Product Safety Regulations 2005.

Amazon has taken down the product listing following the OPSS alert.

Parents and carers who own these water beads are strongly advised to discontinue use straight away and ensure the product remains inaccessible to young children.

Consumers should contact their original seller to seek compensation or a refund for the recalled item.

Separately, Tesco has recalled three pate products after discovering labelling errors that create potential health risks for shoppers.

The affected items are Coarse Farmhouse Pate, Coarse Ardennes Pate, and Smooth Chicken Liver Pate, all in 170g packaging bearing an incorrect use-by date of 5th January 2025.

The Food Standards Agency has warned these products may contain harmful bacteria, as they could have spoiled earlier than the printed date suggests.

Tesco has confirmed these are the only products involved in the recall and has displayed notices in affected stores.

Customers can return the pates to any Tesco branch for a full refund.
