The formerly engaged couple appear to be at loggerheads following the Corrie star's latest remarks

Former Coronation Street actress Helen Flanagan unleashed a furious tirade against her ex-fiancé Scott Sinclair on Instagram on Tuesday evening.

The soap star ended up labelling her former beau "a piece of s***" over claims he failed to attend their youngest child's school nativity.

The 35-year-old soap star publicly called out the Bristol Rovers footballer after he shared photographs from his weekend at the Abu Dhabi Formula 1 Grand Prix.

Reposting Mr Sinclair's images to her Instagram Stories, Ms Flanagan wrote: "You really are a piece of s*** @scotty_sinclair.

"How dare you not turn up to Charlie's nativity?"

The couple, who separated in 2022 following 13 years together, share four-year-old son Charlie.

Mr Sinclair's social media post featured images from the racing circuit, drinks with friends, and a yacht, accompanied by the caption: "What a weekend-Abu Dhabi F1."

The footballer was in attendance as Lando Norris clinched his maiden Drivers' Championship title at the season finale.

Following her criticism of her former partner, Ms Flanagan shared a tender photograph of herself embracing Charlie, writing: "Loved Charlie's nativity. My star, my heartbeat."

She also posted an image describing her son as the "best boy."

Ms Flanagan and Mr Sinclair also have two daughters together: Matilda, aged 10, and seven-year-old Delilah.

Earlier this year, the actress spoke candidly about ending the long-term relationship, revealing it was ultimately her decision to walk away.

"Me and Scott really loved each other, but we were always quietly breaking up and then getting back together, so it had been a long time coming," she explained.

"In the end, it was me who decided. I'll always be sad it didn't work out and we still have love for each other, but we're happier apart."

Ms Flanagan, who appeared on Celebs Go Dating last year, has previously admitted she struggles with single life.

The former I'm A Celebrity campmate is preparing to release her autobiography, Head & Heart: Break-ups, Breakdowns and Being Rosie, in January.

Speaking about the memoir, she said: "I was going to have to revisit painful times, digging deep into experiences I'd have much rather left buried in the past."

She added: "I've made mistakes, I've been hurt and I've had to rebuild from rock bottom, but I've also learned, grown and come out the other side a better, stronger person. Telling my truth meant no hiding - no glossing over or airbrushing."

Despite Tuesday's public clash, Ms Flanagan has previously acknowledged that while she and Mr Sinclair occasionally tell each other to "f**k off", they have generally maintained a civil co-parenting arrangement.

"It's helped that our families get on and I have a good relationship with his mum," she noted.

After sharing Mr Sinclair's post, both sets of fans came out swinging on social media.

Responding to Mr Sinclair's F1 post, one of Ms Flanagan's fans commented: "Lol of course you’d go to the f1 in Abu Dhabi instead of a child’s nativity play is a no brainer."

This prompted another social media user to weigh in: "Stop getting involved in peoples private life. You are not in it to know the ins and out!!

"This era of social media is toxic. Focus on your family and don't get involved in things you don't have full facts." (sic)
