Bargain Hunt regular Mark Stacey has been branded a "stuck-up t**t" after he took to social media to complain about recent comments made by iconic broadcaster Eamonn Holmes.
Several of Eamonn's fans promptly shut down the antiques expert after he disputed the GB News star's claims about "wokeism" in mainstream television.
Eamonn had claimed on his son Declan's podcast: "Where television is today, this wokeism through television, it's just pathetic.
"It's just got a whole raft of presenters who go, 'Hello, good evening, lovely to see you, and lovely to see you too. Yes, I'm glad to be here and you're glad to be here, yes, yes, yes. We're lovely, we love each other', which, of course, they don't in real life."

Eamonn went on: "However, that's the way it goes, and everyone is all smiley and lovely and no one says... you see, TV doesn't want Piers Morgan, they don't want Jeremy Kyle, they don't want Jeremy Clarkson.
"These are the people who bring the ratings. These are the people who are relevant, but they're also the people who can get the channels into trouble because they'll say something sure as heck which will offend somebody.
"But that's what the viewers want. The viewers want that, but a lot of executives don't want to take the risk on that."
Following the interview, Mr Stacey objected to Eamonn's stance, taking to X to accuse the People's Channel fan-favourite of spreading "yet more tedious claptrap".

And while a handful of his 21.2k social media followers responded in agreement, it soon became apparent that the vast majority of X users who saw the post felt that it was Eamonn who was talking sense.
"Holmes is correct," one X user simply replied, while a second fumed: "Why is it claptrap you stuck up t**t? He's spot on, nobody watches terrestrial TV anymore because everything is s***e."
"I know of Eamonn Holmes, but who are you?" a third mocked, before a fourth similarly ridiculed: "Stick to flogging useless s**t, Mark."
Meanwhile, a fifth backed Eamonn by saying: "Eamonn Holmes has more credibility than you'll ever have, Stacey. Stay in your little indoctrinated world."

And the support kept on coming from a sixth: "He's right, I don't watch TV anymore because the content isn't worth my time, it's no longer entertainment, it's bland woke c**p, they don't even make funny adverts anymore."
"Unprofessional, having a go at one of your colleagues, no matter what you think about them," a seventh pointed out, while an eighth highlighted: "In fairness, someone like Holmes will be a lot more knowledgeable than you on the subject."

Eamonn, himself, hasn't given Mr Stacey's complaints the time of day at the time of writing.
However, he did take to Instagram over the weekend to plug the interview he conducted with his son in which he made the remarks that appeared to have irked Mr Stacey.

"Normally, I ask the questions, but here eldest son Declan switches from running businesses to running the ruler over me in his podcast @founderfamilycollective," Eamonn penned.
"He tries to find out how to balance your job and your family…… and did I manage to do it? I think I did - but did he think the same?" he put to his 764k followers. (sic)
