Riley Keough has shared a rare insight into her life growing within her famous family

Actor Riley Keough, the granddaughter to Elvis and daughter to Lisa-Marie Presley, has become a household name in her own right thanks to her acting skills in recent years.

The star recently starred in Amazon Prime Video's Daisy Jones and The Six while her CV also boasts credits in Riverdale, The Terminal List and Mad Max: Fury Road.

However, the 34-year-old was no stranger to the spotlight prior to her on-screen career path thanks to her famous relatives.

While her grandfather was the "King of Rock N Roll", her mother was also a recognisable figure while she was growing up and welcomed her daughter with ex-husband Danny Keough in 1989.

However, her parents' marriage came to an end in 1994 and just days after the divorce was finalised, Lisa-Marie found love again in the form of Thriller singer Michael Jackson.

In a rare insight, Keough has now addressed growing up with Jackson as a step-father and her childhood as a whole, admitting she can understand how "crazy" her life must have looked.

She told Vanity Fair: "My whole childhood was probably very extreme. In hindsight, I can see how crazy these things would be to somebody from the outside.

"But when you’re living in them, it’s just your life and your family," she said.

Addressing Jackson specifically, she delved further: "You just remember the love, and I had real love for Michael.

"I think he really got a kick out of being able to make people happy, in the most epic way possible, which I think he and my grandfather had in common."

Keough's relationship with Jackson was clearly a fun-filled one as she also admitted: "I spent more time at Neverland than Graceland, to be honest.

"That was a real home, whereas Graceland was a museum in my lifetime."

The Daisy Jones and The Six star added to the publication: "I've had some wild stepfathers. Famous and not famous."

Jackson and Keough's mother called time on their marriage in January 1996, however, with the pair citing irreconcilable differences.

Keough also revealed in the Vanity Fair interview the Elvis-inspired moniker she gave her daughter after welcoming the newborn via a surrogate in August last year.

Sharing news of the article on her Instagram, Keough wrote: "Very grateful."

It didn't take long for fans to shower the actor with compliments for the tell-all interview, with one fan replying: "The world loves you and your siblings just like we loved your Mother and Grandfather. You’re an amazing young lady and you’ve been through enough."

"Of course the baby of Lisa Marie, and the granddaughter of Elvis, is cool as s**t. Get it Riley," another weighed in.

A third added: "You’re amazing and so incredibly talented. I know your Grandfather and your Mom are SO proud!"

And a fourth added: "One of the most beautiful woman in Hollywood today and a damn good actress. I’m totally here for your moment." (sic)
