The Strictly Come Dancing favourites delighted fans with the announcement

Dianne Buswell has proudly shown off her growing baby bump as her partner Joe Sugg announced a major new television project for the couple.

The Strictly Come Dancing star appeared alongside Mr Sugg in a series of behind-the-scenes photos shared on Instagram, as the YouTuber revealed they are currently filming a new series for Sky History.


In his caption, Mr Sugg wrote: “WE’RE FILMING A TV SHOW! Joe & Dianne star in Raiders of the Lost Crafts on Sky HISTORY. We’re travelling round the country exploring some of the UK’s most traditional crafts. We’re still currently filming so here are some little sneak peaks but we already cannot wait to share this with you all.”

The carousel of images offered fans a glimpse into both their professional and personal lives.

One photo showed the couple dressed in weatherproof overalls while filming, while another captured Ms Buswell admiring her baby bump in a mirror.

A further image showed the dancer standing on a beach, her arms wrapped protectively around her stomach.

The announcement was quickly met with excitement from friends, colleagues and fans.

Strictly co-star Amy Dowden commented: “Can’t wait xxx well done guys xxx. (sic).

TV baker Juliet Sear added: “That sounds like such a fun idea for a show I love craft!! Well done I love doing quilling, and obvs StarCraft!”

Made in Chelsea star Jamie Laing reacted with a clapping emoji, while presenter Ms Dooley, who competed on the same series of Strictly as the couple, simply wrote: “YES." (sic)

Fans were equally enthusiastic, with comments including: “Wow this is so cool!!! So happy for you."

Another joked: “It should be called Joe, Di and little guy. Baby boy has done more in his little life than I’ve done in 45 years.” (sic)

Mr Sugg and Ms Buswell first met when they were partnered together on the 16th series of BBC Strictly Come Dancing in 2018.

After reaching the final as runners-up, they confirmed their off-screen relationship shortly after the series ended.

Since then, they have become one of the show’s most popular and enduring couples.

In September 2025, the couple announced they were expecting their first child, a baby boy due in early 2026.

Ms Buswell later made Strictly history by becoming the first professional dancer to compete while pregnant, before her partner Stefan Dennis was forced to withdraw from the competition due to injury.

Professionally, Ms Buswell enjoyed a career high in 2024 when she finally lifted the Strictly Glitterball Trophy alongside comedian Chris McCausland, marking her first win on the show after several previous finals.
