Dianne Buswell has playfully hinted she might trade her dancing shoes for a microphone after appearing at Chris McCausland's stand-up show.
The Strictly Come Dancing professional, who won last year’s series with the comedian, reunited with her former partner at his live podcast recording on Tuesday night.
Sharing a selfie with Mr McCausland on Instagram, the 36-year-old wrote: “I stepped into Chris’ world tonight and was on his show that consisted only of comedians! I think I did good as I did hear laughter from the audience unless they just felt sorry for me, either way it was so nice to see my champ again.”
She teased fans with a cheeky follow-up: “Do I hang up the dance shoes and switch to a mic? Let’s see what Chris says on our next podcast!”

The Australian dancer has continued to update followers on her pregnancy, recently revealing her baby bump has “popped”.
In a Wednesday Instagram post, Buswell mimicked a viral TikTok trend while wearing a fitted black one-piece and sunglasses.
“Nobody is going to know,” she lip-synced, before turning to show her bump and adding: “They’re going to know.”
She captioned the clip: “Getting dressed for rehearsals is getting a little harder these days.”
“Baby’s like ‘I’m heeeere!!!,” fellow professional Lauren Oakley responded, while Ashley Roberts commented: “Aww so cute though.”

Ms Buswell and her partner Joe Sugg, whom she met when they were paired on Strictly in 2018, are expecting their first child, a baby boy with what they describe as a “unique” name.
She made Strictly history this year as the first professional to compete while pregnant.
Although her journey was cut short when celebrity partner Stefan Dennis withdrew due to injury, Ms Buswell continued to feature in group numbers and has proven critics wrong.
After facing online trolls who claimed a pregnant woman shouldn’t dance, she posted a defiant video performing moves, including a cartwheel, at home.
“For all the people saying they can’t watch a pregnant girl dance! I just can’t help it when I hear the beat,” she wrote.

Despite the demands of pregnancy, Ms Buswell has maintained her trademark enthusiasm.
Speaking on It Takes Two she said: “This is my ninth year on Strictly, and honestly, it still feels like the first year. Everyone’s like, ‘When are you going to leave?’ I’m like, ‘No! How many more years can I do? That’s the question!’”
Her partnership with Mr McCausland last year reshaped her perspective on the competition.
Speaking to Prima magazine about her approach to the 2025 series, she said: “I feel just as excited as any other year, and I’ve put no expectations on myself.”
“Last year taught me that it’s not about perfection. I’ll be honest, I used to think of winning, winning, winning, but the past few years it hasn’t been about that at all, maybe that comes with age and maturity.”
She explained that her journey with Mr McCausland, who became Strictly’s first blind contestant to win, shifted her priorities: “Chris and I could have left at any point and would have gone thinking we’d won anyway. It doesn’t feel like a competition anymore.”
Their friendship continues through their weekly podcast Winning Isn’t Everything, and their on-stage reunion delighted attending fans.

Another joked: “I wonder what’s scarier, a comedian stepping into the dancing world, or a dancer stepping into the comedy world? Hope you had the best time!”
Viewers celebrated the pair’s enduring bond, with many describing the moment as “team back together at last”.
