GB News sports reporter Paul Coyte reacts to a dramatic night of Champions League football that saw the last remaining English teams bow out of the competition.

Champions Manchester City suffered a penalty shootout defeat to Real Madrid on home turf after being held to a 1-1 draw by the Spanish giants.

Arsenal struggled to make an impression on Bayern Munich at the Allianz Arena and suffered a 1-0 defeat to a side containing two former Spurs players, Harry Kane and Eric Dier.

Hopes for English success in Europe is not over just yet with Paul Coyte also looking ahead to tonight's games with Liverpool, West Ham and Aston Villa all in action.

Liverpool and West Ham have sizeable deficits to overturn in their Europa League clashes against Atalanta and Bayer Leverkusen respectivelty, while Aston Villa travel to Lille with a 2-1 aggregate lead in the UEFA Conference League.
