According to new research, the top three easiest places to move to in 2026 are all based in Europe.
This is according to experts at William Russell, who considered factors such as visa requirements, affordability, employment conditions and the ease of integration.
Having a taste of home is important for many expats, and the research also considered where has the best expat communities, and where English is spoken well.

Germany is the easiest place for Britons to move to, according to new research

Germany was crowned the easiest place to move to this year, with a Difficulty Score of 3.03 out of 10.
Britons looking there can benefit from cheap visas - at around £66 - and affordable flights out, from £24. The country also has a high standard of living, great education and healthcare and a rich culture and varied landscapes.
It is also home to exciting festivals, such as Oktoberfest in Munich and Christmas Markets across the country. Luxembourg was next on the list, with a score of 3.22 out of 10, and Sweden ranked third with 3.44 out of 10.

While peaking at number two, Luxembourg was the best for employment. It has both the highest average wage and the highest number of job listings.
Being able to communicate with locals will make relocation much easier, so consider the Netherlands if looking for the best English speakers.
It was named as having the best English proficiency of any country where it is not the first language. Outside of Europe, Japan is also worth considering.
The Asian country has soared in popularity, with holidaymakers searching for modern cities, natural wonders and ancient history.
Britons considering calling it home would benefit from the cheapest visa on the list. It costs £15 - almost 20 times lower than the national average.

This comes as another study found where British families could be the happiest, with Norway revealed as the best country for raising children.
Research shows the top places to move to based on 20 different quality-of-life factors, and the Scandinavian nation comes out on top with an impressive index score of 71.73 out of 100.
In Norway, an impressive 94.06 per cent of people living there say they're happy, which is 11 per cent above the European average of 84.76 per cent.
