easyJet's new destinations include gorgeous locations in Spain and Italy

easyJet has announced it will be launching a new base in the UK, which will see the introduction of six new routes across Europe and beyond.

Holidaymakers will be able to fly easyJet from London Southend Airport as of 2025.

Currently, easyJet has UK bases in Glasgow Airport, Edinburgh Airport, Belfast International Airport, Liverpool John Lennon Airport, Manchester Airport, Birmingham Airport, Bristol Airport, London Luton Airport and London Gatwick Airport.

While easyJet planes are already flying out of London Southend Airport, a base means that three aircraft will remain there permanently.

Gran Canaria is a beloved holiday destination among Britons

The exciting announcement means more opportunities for Britons to go abroad.

The three new aircraft will enable easyJet to launch six new routes across Europe, Africa and Asia.

Britons can head to Gran Canaria, Spain; Pisa, Italy; Dalaman and Antalya, Turkey; Marrakech, Morocco and Enfidha, Tunisia.

Flights will commence from May 1, 2025, and Britons looking to book ahead can do so from this Friday.

Holiday packages from London Southend Airport will be available seven days a week. Britons can snap these up in the coming months.

easyJet isn't the only airline introducing new flights to fabulous destinations.

British Airways just announced a new route from the UK to a "charming and historical" destination.

The route will depart on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays starting on November 4, 2024, perfect for those looking for a winter escape.
