Terms of Use

Welcome to the GB News Community (“Community”) and becoming a member of the Community.

These are the additional terms and conditions that govern your membership of the Community. Please read them carefully. These terms will apply in addition to our terms of use, privacy policy, cookie policy and community rules of Engagement which you also agree to abide by.

Firstly, though, a thank you. Thank you for your support and for helping us to keep free speech and fearless journalism alive. This is only possible thanks to people like you becoming a member of the GB News Community.

By becoming a member of the GB News Community you will receive access to our exclusive Community content, depending upon which level of support you have chosen to give to us. You can also participate in our GBN Points programme. We have set out details of the various options to join our Community below:

£Free (Friend of GB News):

£10 Monthly (Defender of GB News):

You can also subscribe to each of the monthly paid Community tiers annually, receiving a 10% discount.

The above guidelines provide details of the benefits that we intend to, but are not obliged to, provide to you depending upon which Community tier you have joined. We may from time to time vary these benefits at our discretion and will notify you of any significant changes where possible at least 30 days before they take effect.

To become a member of the GB News Community you are required to sign up and where applicable to make the relevant payment on a monthly or annual basis depending upon which option you choose. From time to time we may discount the paid tiers amounts or apply a discount for those choosing to pay annually.

Your membership of the Community will commence as soon as you register or (where applicable) we receive payment in cleared funds from you and will continue for as long as you remain a member of the GB News Community. The cost to you will (where applicable) be at the rate you agree to pay at the time of joining the GB News Community.

On becoming a paid member of the GB News Community you have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days of your initial sign up, in which case you will be entitled to receive a full refund of any sums paid to GB News. You will also have the right to cancel any annual subscription within 14 days of renewal and receive a full refund of any sums paid to GB News in respect of the renewal period.

You must be 18 years or over in order to become a member of the GB News Community and by signing up you agree that you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a contract with us.

If you choose to pay on a periodic basis we will collect each instalment on or about the same date each month. If you do not make any subsequent payment on time we may terminate or suspend your membership of a paid Community tier or seek payment in full of all sums owed to us up to the point that your paid membership ends.

You may cancel your membership of the GB News Community at any time by writing to us by email at community@gbnews.com.

In the event that you do cancel you will not be entitled to a refund of any sums paid to us unless we receive your notice of cancellation within 14 days of your initial registration for a paid Community tier.

We may terminate or restrict your membership of the Community in the event that you breach any of these terms, our Terms of Use, Community rules of Engagement or if we believe that we have reasonable grounds to do so (for example where you are in serious or repeated breach of our terms or if you fail to make payment to us when it is due).

By becoming a member of the GB News Community you understand and agree that we may from time to time provide you with information and promotions relating to the GB News Community services and products, from which you may opt out at any time by writing to us at community@gbnews.com.

GBN Points

Participation in our GBN Points programme is for members only and you must have an active GB News Account in order to take part.

GBN Points are a virtual item solely for use within the Service. GBN Points are not a substitute for real currency. Transferring GBN Points is prohibited. You must not sell, gift, charge or lend GBN Points by any means not intentionally enabled by the Service. You must not sell, gift, charge or lend your GB News Account under any circumstances.

Acquiring GBN Points and your GBN Points Balance

GBN Points can be acquired by engaging with our Service, for example by reading articles, watching videos, commenting, or by starting or renewing memberships. GBN Points are also acquired when you achieve engagement milestones or maintain an engagement streak for a period of time. Your GBN Points balance and your engagement achievements are as shown in your GB News Account.

Opportunities for acquiring GBN Points are as set out on the Service from time to time, including in your GB News Account. At any time we may change the means by which GBN Points are acquired, the tasks or achievements for which GBN Points may be acquired and the amount of GBN Points offered for particular tasks or achievements, by updating the Service. Changes take effect immediately, and may therefore impact the GBN Points awarded for part-completed milestones, streaks or other achievements.

We calculate the number of GBN Points awarded and held to your GB News Account. Our decision is final. If we discover errors in our allocation or record of GBN Points, we will remedy those errors as quickly as possible and without notice to you.

The GBN Points offered for tasks may be subject to a cap per member, which means you will not be awarded further GBN Points for completing that task once you have completed it a particular number of times. Similarly, GBN Points may be subject to an overall cap, which means that once a particular number of GBN Points are allocated to members for completing a task, no further GBN Points can be acquired for completing that task. Caps may be set out on the Service, but not in all cases.

We may deduct GBN Points where we consider your engagement is not in accordance with our Terms of Use, including these Community Rules, our Community Rules of Engagement or other moderation policies. All of your GBN Points may be forfeited if we consider the breach to be serious, for example, if your GB News Account is suspended or terminated in accordance with our Terms of Use.

Rewards

The Rewards available by redeeming GBN Points are as set out on the Service. Rewards are for your own personal use and enjoyment only. Rewards are subject to change on no notice. Rewards may be offered with limited availability on a first come first served basis, or for a limited time only. On redemption, GBN Points are immediately deducted from your GB News Account. All redemptions are final and non-reversible. Redeemed GBN Points may not be refunded, whether for GBN Points or any other value.

Rewards may also be offered subject to additional eligibility requirements or terms and conditions. In some cases, you may be required to contact one of our team in order for you to make arrangements to complete the redemption of your GBN Points and access the Reward. If you do not contact us, you will not be able to access the Reward, which may then be taken by another member. Any material eligibility requirements or terms and conditions will be set out on the Service.

Where Rewards are offered or facilitated by third parties, those third parties may apply their own eligibility requirements or terms and conditions, over which we have no control. We are not liable for any third-party rewards or the acts or omissions of any third-party

rewards providers. Rewards offered under the GBN Points programme are not endorsed by GB News.

We have no obligation to make GBN Points redeemable for any Rewards.

GBN Points Programme

We apply a number of anti-cheat and anti-abuse measures in order to protect our members. You must not attempt to circumvent or counteract any of those measures.

Any processing of your personal data for the purposes of operating the GBN Points programme are set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookies Policy. This includes information on how we may publicise your participation in the GBN Points programme and any of your achievements or rankings against other members.

We may close the GBN Points programme at any time, without liability to you. If closed, all of your GBN Points will be lost. We will try to ensure that you are notified in good time before the GBN Points programme is closed, but we cannot guarantee to provide members any notice.

General

We may change these terms from time to time at our discretion by written notice to you. We may also change the Community benefits or costs from time to time but will provide you, where possible, with at least 30 days’ notice in advance via email. In addition to these terms, you also agree to be bound by any terms that may relate to any specific offers or Community options that we make available to you, which will be notified to you at the time as part of any offer by us.

These terms are governed by English Law and subject to the jurisdiction of the Courts of England and Wales. If you live outside the UK these terms are subject to any local mandatary consumer laws and you bring any claim in the Courts of your place of residence.
