Samsung released the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and Galaxy S26 Ultra earlier this year, but there doesn't appear to be a Galaxy S26 Edge joining the lineup.
The Korean tech firm has historically released at least three models in the series in the last six years. But the S25 lineup became one of the largest, with S25, S25+, S25 Ultra, S25 Edge, and S25 FE.
And this time last year, the S25 Edge made its debut — the newest model of its kind in the series, with an ultra-slim design unlike anything else in the lineup. It was also released with a pick 'n' mix of features from across the S25 range. On the back, you'll find the same 200MP main camera previously reserved for the Galaxy S25 Ultra, the same 6.7-inch edge-to-edge display as the Galaxy S25+, and the 12MP ultra-wide sensor from the more affordable Galaxy S25.
However, a report from News Pim claims that the S25 Edge hasn't met the expected sales it was hoping for due to limited customer demand. This has led many to believe that a successor may be cancelled altogether.

| SAMSUNG PRESS OFFICEIt's not the only ultra-slim model that seems to be struggling, either. Reports have said Apple's iPhone Air sales also haven't been ideal.
Although if you're still holding out hope for an updated model, Samsung Mobile Experience Business COO Won-Joon Choi hinted to Bloomberg that there may be intentions to release a new iPhone Air rival and a new Galaxy Z TriFold.
At one point, rumours even said Samsung had already finished the S26 Edge, and it was nearly ready for release.
But like any rumour, these should always be taken with a pinch of salt.
If you'd prefer to stick to the Edge model, you might want to add it to your cart sooner rather than later. It's been suggested that Samsung doesn't have any plans to restock it, even if a successor isn't on the way.
And the current stock at some of these retailers seems to confirm this. Select colourways and storage options are sold out on mobile providers' sites like Vodafone and EE.

If you upgrade to the Galaxy S25 Edge from Sky on a 36-month contract and choose its 50GB data plan, you'll only be spending £48 per month. The mobile includes a 12MP front and ultra-wide camera, as well as a 200MP wide-angle camera. It also comes packed with a slew of AI features like Gemini, Writing Assistant, AI Select, and more

With a wafer-thin 5.8mm chassis — that's roughly the same as three 10p coins stacked on top of one another — the Galaxy S25 Edge is designed to squeeze a comparable flagship experience to the other handsets in the Galaxy S25 lineup in a much, much smaller package.
For comparison, the standard Galaxy S25 measures 7.2mm, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra is 8.2mm.
Under the bonnet of this paper-thin phone is the same, first-of-its-kind customised Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy system-on-a-chip that's found inside the Galaxy S25, S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. It was specifically designed by teams from Samsung and US manufacturer Qualcomm to power the phones' extensive AI features.
It's also one of the speedier chips to ever ship inside a Samsung smartphone, delivering 40% faster performance from the Neural Processing Unit (NPU), which predominantly handles on-device AI tasks, as well as a 37% increase in CPU and a 30% improvement in GPU compared to the Galaxy S24 series. In other words, there will be no difference in the speed of the ultra-thin Galaxy S25 Edge and the larger handsets in the lineup.

This beefier chipset allows Samsung to crunch more AI tasks on-device. Some Galaxy AI features that previously had to be beamed to servers, like Generative Edit, now take place on the silicon inside the phone. Since you're not reliant on a decent Wi-Fi or mobile data connection, you'll be able to use these AI tricks in aeroplane mode.
AI also powers several of its editing tools, like Audio Eraser, which lets you remove specific annoying background sounds from your videos, like unwanted chatter from crowds or disruptive wind noise.
Elsewhere, Circle to Search has been upgraded to immediately recognise and action phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs with a single tap.

In terms of updates, the Galaxy S25 Edge will also qualify for Samsung's upcoming One UI 9 – the latest iteration of Android. It's built on top of Android 17, the next generation of the mobile operating system, which is set to roll out worldwide later this summer.
Google has teased several new features coming to Android 17, including a more proactive Artificial Intelligence (AI) tool, dubbed Gemini Intelligence, that can book restaurant tables and plane tickets for you.
