If you're looking to invest in a new health tracker for the new year, you're in luck.
From today, you can save up to £50 on the wearable when you shop on the Boots online site. However, you must type in the special code RING10 at checkout to claim the deal. No other retailer is offering the sale either.
This discount applies to both the Oura Ring 4 in metallic shades and the Oura Ring 4 in a ceramic finish, with the ceramic options having only been released this past October.
Oura recently held a sale on its own online site, so if you missed out, now is a great time to take advantage. The brand normally only holds sales a few times per year, so this could be one of the last times we see this kind of promotion in a while.
Not familiar with this popular wearable? Unlike devices such as Fitbit or Apple Watch that track activity from your wrist with a display screen, the Oura Ring is a sleek smart ring designed to monitor your health and wellbeing around the clock.
Powered by advanced sensors, it tracks sleep quality, heart rate, body temperature trends, and daily activity, with all insights displayed through the Oura app rather than on the ring itself.
While it has many standout features, it's been known as a top choice if you want a detailed sleep analysis and readiness score, which helps you understand how prepared your body is for the day.

The Oura Ring 4 in Ceramic offers a refined, lightweight design that feels comfortable on your finger. Crafted for everyday wear, it delivers detailed health data, including sleep quality, heart rate, and recovery scores. Its ceramic finish resists scratches and can look timeless.
It's also available in a wider range of sizes — now extending from size 4 to size 15. If you're not sure what ring size is best for you, Boots also sells a ring sizing kit for £5. If you purchase this, then you can claim a $10 Boots credit when you're ready to buy the ring.

The Oura Ring 4 Metallics blends premium style with advanced health tracking. Its sleek metal finish feels durable and modern, making it easy to wear day and night. It monitors sleep stages, heart rate, activity, and readiness with impressive accuracy, while offering up to a week of battery life. It's an ideal choice if you want detailed insights without the bulky tech on your wrist.

Oura Ring 4
This discreet wearable comes with a wide range of noteworthy features.
“Oura Ring is designed to be a personal health companion, giving our members a holistic view of their health by pairing personal data with meaningful, actionable insights to facilitate long-term changes,” says Tom Hale, Oura CEO.
“The next-generation Oura Ring 4, reimagined Oura App, and the development of the Smart Sensing platform represent significant steps forward for wearables across accuracy, comfort, personalisation, and design.”
For starters, its battery life can last five to eight days on a single charge, and it only needs 20-80 minutes to recharge with its included USB-C power source.
It's designed with recessed sensors and a fully titanium inner and outer coating — meaning a much more comfortable wear for all day compared to older models.
The Oura Ring 4 is also designed around the health tech company's Smart Sensing technology. This helps to deliver continuous, accurate data around your activity, such as your sleep quality or fitness levels.
Speaking of data, this wearable comes with three enhanced new features.
First, the Automatic Activity Detection (ADD) now includes your average heart rate and heart rate zones for more than 40 different activities. You'll get a full overview of your movement throughout the day.

This is similar to the latest Apple Watch features found in the watchOS 26 software update released this past autumn.
You'll also get a new Fertile Window in the Cycle Insights section of features. This gives more information to women about their cycle and fertility journey who may be trying to conceive.
Finally, you'll be able to find out even more about your stress levels in the Daytime Stress section. You can learn more about your different stress patterns throughout the course of the day and how your daily habits are affecting your stress and recovery.

If you want to take advantage of all these personalised features, though, you'll need to download the Oura app.
The Oura app is what will let you see and monitor all of your activity. There are two different versions — free or paid (£5.99).
For comparison, this is less than the monthly cost of the Fitbit premium membership (£7.99/month) and the Apple Fitness+ subscription (£9.99/month).

To really be able to see all of your data and take full advantage of what your ring can do, it may be worth the additional monthly cost.
The free version of the app will only give you access to basic sleep activity and minimal data on daily activity, so you won't be able to access the new features without the paid subscription, as mentioned above.
A paid membership will also give you access to the following:
- Blood oxygen sensing
- Temperature monitoring
- Activity goals and automatic detection
- Weekly, monthly, and yearly reports
- Women's Health insights (cycle and pregnancy tracking)
