Defending champion Jannik Sinner required merely 81 minutes to dispatch Alexander Bublik at Flushing Meadows, recording his swiftest Grand Slam triumph with a comprehensive 6-1, 6-1, 6-1 scoreline in Monday's fourth-round encounter.
World No1 Sinner delivered a masterclass performance against the Kazakh player, who had previously reached this stage without losing a game on his serve.
The Italian's dominance marked a stark contrast to his third-round match against Denis Shapovalov, where he had shown signs of vulnerability by conceding his first set of the tournament.
This emphatic victory extends Sinner's remarkable winning streak at hard-court majors to 25 matches.

Bublik's pre-match ambition to hold his opening service game quickly unravelled as he suffered an immediate break, setting the tone for a challenging evening.
The 27-year-old's serve completely deserted him, producing 13 double faults throughout the match, including an unusual sequence featuring consecutive underarm attempts during the opening set.
Ground stroke errors compounded his difficulties as he surrendered his serve eight times in total.

Following the match, Bublik approached the net with a smile, telling Sinner: "You're so good, this is insane. I'm not bad."
The Kazakh had previously described the Italian as "AI generated" before their encounter.
Sinner sent a touching message to the 28-year-old after their match, believing his five-set thriller against Tommy Paul in the previous round to be the reason for his domination.
“He had a very tough match the last match," the world No1 said. "He didn’t serve as well as he usually does. I’m very happy.
