Marc Guehi's proposed move to Liverpool has been called off by Crystal Palace, despite the defender completing a medical for the club today.
The two clubs had agreed on a £35million deal for the 25-year-old, who has one year remaining on his current deal at Selhurst Park.
Guehi had already agreed personal terms with Liverpool and even completed a medical in London today ahead of the proposed move, but Palace pulled out of the deal at the last minute.
The Eagles performed a U-turn on their agreement with the Merseyside club after their deal for Brighton centre-back Igor fell through, with the Brazilian choosing to go to West Ham instead due to a guarantee of playing time.

With just one year left on Guehi's current deal, it means he is expected to remain at the club for the next 12 months before joining Liverpool on a free transfer next summer.
Guehi played and captained Palace just last night during their commanding 3-0 win over Aston Villa. The English international even scored a wonderful curling effort in the second half.
After last night's game, boss Oliver Glasner insisted his side could not sell their skipper without adequate replacements.

"Of course, I have mentioned it so often [wanting to keep Guehi]. We have to," the Eagles boss pleaded. "Again, it is if we want a successful season. We have had a fantastic start.
"We had a great start, so it is just the start. The first step is made and for a successful season we need Marc. It is not possible to find a replacement in one day.
"This is our captain. We have to keep him. I told this to the chairman [Steve Parish].

"I like Marc, he is such a professional player and such a nice guy. It is for the future of Crystal Palace. We have to keep him.
"We don't have the right replacement, so for me, it is clear that we keep him."

Glasner's words contrast that of Palace chairman, Steve Parish, earlier in the window, who insisted a sale would have to be made if the centre-back did not sign a new contract.
"For players of that calibre to leave on a free, it's a problem for us unfortunately," Parish admitted.
"Joachim [Andersen] went [to Fulham last summer] and we couldn't afford to lose both.
"We then had another bid [for Guehi] in January but that was a different situation.
"We'll just have to see what happens. But, you know, it needs a new contract or a conclusion of some kind."
With Guehi now set to stay at the club, Parish's nightmare scenario seems to have played out. The defender is expected to move for free next summer.
Since his arrival from Chelsea in 2021, Guehi has made 161 appearances, captaining the club to their first major trophy, the FA Cup.
The Eagles then followed that up with a Community Shield victory against Liverpool in August.
