The goalkeeper spent eight trophy-laden years in Manchester

Manchester City have confirmed the sale of goalkeeper Ederson to Turkish side Fenerbahce after eight trophy-laden years at the club.

The Brazilian joined the Cityzens from Benfica for £35million in 2017, and went on to win six Premier Leagues under boss Pep Guardiola.

As a goalkeeper that revolutionised the way the position has been played in England, Ederson was known for his exceptional footwork and composure on the ball that allowed City to play out from the back with remarkable ease.

A testament to his astonishing ability with the ball at his feet, the Brazilian has the record for the most amount of Premier League assists with seven.

The 32-year-old fell out of favour at the club during last season, with German goalkeeper Stefan Ortega getting the nod instead.

This summer, City have already signed James Trafford in a £27m deal from Burnley, and have also agreed a deal to bring Champions League winner Gianluigi Donnarumma to the club for £26m.
