Cam Norrie faces a huge tax bill after losing in the quarter-final of Wimbledon.
Norrie was the last remaining home hero in the tournament when he faced defending champion Carlos Alcaraz, and while Norrie has massively improved in recent weeks, he was no match for the world number two.
Alcaraz breezed through in less than two hours to reach the semi-finals, leaving the British crowd waiting another year to see a Briton win on home soil.
Norrie’s run isn’t without its perks, as he takes home £400,000 in prize money for his efforts; however, he will only keep around half of it.

HMRC will be licking their lips when they see the return they will make from the Wimbledon player. Of the £400,000 that Norrie has won, he will only take home around £220,000.
That means the government will take over £175,000 of his winnings from the All England Club.

His earnings from Wimbledon will help add to his net worth of £4.4 million.
Norrie has caused a lot of controversy during the tournament for his “unsportsmanlike’ behaviour, annoying multiple opponents.
However, during his time at the All England Club, the Briton also revealed a shock condition over his lungs, saying: “With my lungs, I just randomly did a test.
"I think I was in college or one summer, and I did a test. They were, like, Oh, you must be some, like, deep sea diver or something like, we did some test on your lungs, they're huge.

"I said, Well, I didn't even know. I was, like, okay. I think since then I've had huge confidence in my cardio. I don't know.
"It must be true, but yeah, I think it just gives me - I can back myself in those longer rallies and everything, and I think it's just kind of a false confidence, but I'll take it."
Nicolas Jarry seemed particularly upset by Norrie’s antics during their four-hour epic earlier in the week.

The Chilean ended up in a heated exchange as the pair shook hands at the end of the contest.
The cause of the disagreement came when Jarry raised an issue around the amount of ball bouncing that Norrie was doing before each serve, leading Jarry to complain to the umpire.
“What is the rule there?" he asked. “The problem is, is it normal to do that when it affects the other player?

"You have to intervene there or I have to suck it.
"That's the real issue, it doesn't matter the reason. It is the same as hitting the ball anywhere."
Norrie will now look to regroup and continue his impressive form of recent months into upcoming events.
