Caroline Peaty is enduring what she describes as the most painful day of her life, excluded from watching her Olympic champion son Adam marry Holly Ramsay at Bath Abbey today.
The couple will say 'I do' but Caroline hasn't been invited amid an ongoing family feud.
"I don't think they understand how much they have hurt me; it's as if they have cut my heart out," she told the Daily Mail, unable to hold back tears.
The 60-year-old mother spoke of her devastation at the family fracture that has left her isolated during what should be a joyous occasion.

"This is the first Christmas that I've not had my family together – my family is broken," she said.
"Yes, I have my other grandchildren. Yes, I have my other children, but my family is split because of the goings on – because of the wedding."
While the historic abbey's bells ring out for the ceremony, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay will escort his daughter Holly down the gothic aisle beneath its magnificent fan-vaulted ceilings.
Her sisters Tilly and Megan are serving as joint maids of honour, with mother Tana and brother Jack, a Royal Marine, also in attendance.

The evening reception will take place at Kin House, a restored Georgian manor in the Wiltshire countryside.
Yet amid the glamour, Adam's side of the church will be conspicuously sparse.
His sister Bethany, 32, who is among Holly's bridesmaids, will be the sole representative of the swimmer's immediate family.

Adam Peaty and Gordon Ramsay's daughter, Holly, are due to marry on Saturday in Bath
| PAHis father Mark, 65, and the wider Peaty clan will remain at their Staffordshire home.
The rift erupted publicly following Holly's hen party, where photographs on Instagram showed Victoria Beckham and Adam's sister Bethany among the guests, but not Caroline, who was at home caring for Adam's five-year-old son George from his previous relationship.
Tensions had been building since the engagement party at Soho Farmhouse last December, when Adam's wider family were not invited.
For years, Caroline had risen at 4am daily to drive her son 40 minutes to training in Derbyshire, waiting two hours before taking him home, then repeating the journey each evening while working full-time.
Adam once called parents like her the "unsung heroes of sport."
Now, she says, her son views her as a negative influence he does not want around.
"He says I am playing the victim, but I don't think my son knows me at all," she said.
In a painful twist, Mark was offered the chance to attend the church service but not the reception – an invitation he refused.
Adam Peaty has won three gold medals during his Olympics career | PA"Mark's fuming. He is so hurt," Caroline said.
To cope with the day, the couple plan to take Caroline's 83-year-old mother Mavis Williams, who became known as "#Olympic nan" during the 2016 Rio Games, for a drive through the Staffordshire countryside.
Despite everything, Caroline insists her love for Adam remains unconditional.
"They are both still loved, there is nothing I won't forgive, and I want them to have the best day," she said.
"Adam is genuinely in love with Holly. When he told me she was his soulmate, that made me so happy. It still makes me happy now."
Her message to the couple: "Stand by each other. But just because you love somebody and that love is intense, don't forget the other people around you."
