The 21-year-old is spending the season in Spain
Getafe sporting director Ruben Reyes has hinted the club could look to keep hold of Mason Greenwood for the long-term if he shines in Spain.
The striker moved to the La Liga side from Manchester United on transfer deadline day.
The Red Devils opted to loan out the England international after charges of attempted rape and assault were dropped in February.
United released a statement last month saying they and Greenwood had decided the youngster would resume his career away from Old Trafford.
Getafe has hinted they could try and sign Mason Greenwood on a permanent basis

Getafe have been criticised for their decision to recruit Greenwood, with United previously suffering a backlash after news broke they could keep hold of the forward.
Yet Reyes has defended the decision and hinted the England international may be kept if he does well, while also revealing they spoke to Greenwood's father before his move to the club.
"We did what we do - sign players that are available to sign," he said.
"There is no need for us to handle anything [off the pitch].
"We have signed a footballer who is just the same as (fellow signings) Diego Rico and Oscar Rodriguez, and that's it. We have to do our job, and that's what we focus on."
He added: "It is a year's loan.
"It's very difficult to get an option to buy on a player (like him).
"He will be here all season. There are internal discussions, but those are small details that we try not to share.
"They [United and Greenwood] appreciated the effort, how convinced we were.
"We're very excited with him. He was a player that we knew was out there.
"We worked on it, gathered information and bit by bit we saw that there could be a possibility.
"We spoke to his family, to his dad, to his people for a long time.
"We were able to convince him to come here, to trust in us. We're satisfied.
"He plays very free, as if he was on a school playground. He has a very high level.
"We dreamed that we could bring him here, and sometimes that gets fulfilled."
Greenwood could make his debut for Getafe when the Spanish side lock horns with Osasuna after the international break (1pm).
Should the striker play, it would be his first professional football match since United beat West Ham 1-0 back in January 2022.
Greenwood prefers to keep a low profile and always has done.
But he's spoken out about the match and insists his side will do everything possible to claim all three points.
After saying he was 'feeling good' and 'happy to be there', the United loanee added: "We take [it] one game at a time.

"I know the next home game is coming up soon. We are going to try and win it and do our best."
Getafe have endured a slow start to the season so far.
They've won just one of their opening four matches, drawing one and losing the other two.
