The band performed in Budapest on Saturday night

Football fans have accused The Killers of miming before Saturday night's Champions League final between Arsenal and PSG in Budapest.

The band performed a series of hit songs prior to the clash, which will see one of the two sides crowned champions of Europe.

However, with the music out on sync to their mouths, some fans have taken to social media to suggest they weren't actually singing live.

"Are The Killers miming and completely out of sync with the song of is my TV on a delay!!" said one user.

A second stated: "The Killers are elevating bad miming to such extraordinary level here, they could easily get booked for simulation."

Another wrote: "This is diabolical miming from the Killers here."

A third opined: "Why does it look like the killers are miming on the Champions League final."

Arsenal go into the game full of confidence after recently ending their agonising 22-year wait for Champions League glory.

In PSG, however, they face arguably the best team on the planet with Luis Enrique's men looking to reign supreme in Europe for the second year in a row.

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is, however, confident that his side can upset the odds to secure their first European crown.

"How important is it to arrive in Budapest as English champions? There is a part of incredible joy and satisfaction," he said.

"But it is true that there is also relief. We say to ourselves: 'That's it, we did it! We have it!'"

"We now have to use it as a tsunami of ambition, emotion, and determination to go and win the Champions League.

"If it is a factor in our favor? Yes, completely. It will give us extraordinary energy, confidence, and lucidity."

PSG boss Enrique is, however, adamant that his side can make it back-to-back Champions League titles.

"Do you know how powerful trying to win the second one in a row is? It’s bigger. So we’re ahead," he insisted.

"I don’t think there’s any better motivation than winning the Champions League.

"We will see tomorrow who is better – we both won our respective leagues and I’m going to focus on what is positive for my team. So that we can show the best of ourselves.

“It’s a source of motivation for us. We have already gone down in the history books as one of the best teams in Europe. But that’s what we’re looking for. You never know when you’re going to be back in the Champions League final and you have to make the most of it.”
