Former England football legend Paul Gascoigne has returned to his residence and is recuperating well following a hospital stay that began on Friday, according to his representatives.
The 58-year-old sought medical attention at an accident and emergency department for an ongoing throat ailment.
His management firm, The MNT agency, confirmed on Monday that the ex-midfielder had already been discharged and was recovering at home.
Carly Saward from the agency stated that Gascoigne had attended hospital of his own accord after experiencing difficulties with a throat issue he had been managing for some time.

Initial reports had suggested the former Tottenham and Newcastle player was discovered in a semi-conscious state at his Dorset residence by his long-time associate Steve Foster on Friday.
Foster, who serves as Gascoigne's personal assistant, immediately transported him to hospital.
The football icon was initially placed in intensive care before being transferred to an acute medical ward at Poole Hospital, where his condition stabilised.
However, his management team clarified that Gascoigne had not been taken by ambulance and had sought treatment voluntarily.
Foster expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support, telling The Sun newspaper: "He would like to thank everyone for the support he's received so far from so many old friends who wish him well and want to see him back to his best."
The MNT agency emphasised that Gascoigne is "already back home and doing well," seeking to reassure concerned fans and former teammates.
Representatives stressed that the hospital visit was related to a pre-existing throat condition rather than any acute emergency.
The swift clarification from Gascoigne's management team appeared designed to counter more alarming initial reports about his health status.
Gascoigne remains one of England's most gifted footballers, having earned 57 caps for his country between 1988 and 1998.

His performances at the 1990 World Cup in Italy, where England reached the semi-finals, catapulted him to global stardom, particularly his emotional reaction to a booking against West Germany.
The midfielder also shone during Euro 96 on home soil, memorably scoring against Scotland as England again reached the semi-finals.
His club career included spells at Newcastle, Tottenham, Lazio, Rangers, Middlesbrough and Everton.
However, Gascoigne has faced well-documented struggles with alcohol addiction and depression throughout recent years, experiencing various health complications.
