The 47-year-old World Cup winner is currently receiving treatment at a hospital in Brasilia following the incident.
According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Inter Milan star sustained the injuries in a domestic accident at his home. The hospital has confirmed that Lucio is currently "stable, conscious, and under constant observation."
The incident occurred on Thursday, though the exact cause and extent of Lucio's burns have not been disclosed by medical authorities.

Despite signing for Juventus after leaving Inter, he made just a single appearance for the Turin club.
Following his brief spell at Juventus, Lucio returned to his native Brazil to conclude his playing career, representing clubs including Sao Paulo and Palmeiras.
