The Argentina international broke down in tears on Friday night

Emiliano Martinez broke down in tears during Aston Villa's 2-0 win over Tottenham on Friday night to seemingly confirm that he'll be leaving the club this summer.

And it's now been claimed that the Argentina international has three offers on the table, with one coming from Saudi Arabia.

Martinez was visibly emotional on Friday as Unai Emery's side boosted their hopes of Champions League qualification following efforts from Ezri Konsa and Boubacar Kamara.

He has become a club icon during his time at Villa Park, having joined from Arsenal back in 2020.

Now, according to Argentinean outlet Ole, Martinez already has three offers from interested suitors.

One is from Saudi Arabia, where a host of big players such as Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Roberto Firmino and N'Golo Kante have decided to locate two in recent years.

The other two are from unnamed clubs in Europe.

Martinez is, however, believed to still be ambitious and wants to play for a Champions League team because he feels he's still got plenty to offer.

To some fans, the notion of the veteran leaving will be a surprise.

Yet the club reportedly feel they can make a sizeable profit on the 32-year-old, who has twice been named the best goalkeeper on the planet.

Villa previously sold Douglas Luiz to Juventus last summer for a big fee and history could, therefore, be about to repeat itself.

Martinez's wife, Mandinha Martinez, said she was 'so proud' of her other half after what seemed to be his last game for the club.

Emery, when quizzed on Martinez, kept his cards close to his chest by saying: "Now we are focused on the match we are playing, of course. It is the last match here, and I don’t know.

"We will see about the team, the players, but of course, they are responding on the field at the moment.

"They are responding and are focused on how we are preparing and playing each match.

"Of course, Leon Bailey is playing less because I know everybody is responding very well. They are performing well.

"And we are going to play Manchester United on May 25 for the last three points available this season.

"For us it will be very important again, for everybody to be focused. And of course, then we will see about everything, how we are going to try to get better for the next season, when we come back."

Villa are currently fifth with one league game to go.

Chelsea, Newcastle, Arsenal and Liverpool also occupy the Champions League qualifying slots.

Villa would miss out if Manchester City win their final two league fixtures, however.
