Travis Kelce is reportedly furious about Donald Trump's recent attack on his girlfriend Taylor Swift, according to a source close to the NFL star.
The former president took aim at the pop superstar in a controversial Truth Social post whilst travelling back to the US from Saudi Arabia on Friday, claiming he is the reason Swift is "no longer hot."
Trump wrote on his social media platform: "Has anyone noticed that, since I said 'I hate Taylor Swift,' she's no longer 'HOT?'"
The unprovoked comment has left the Kansas City Chiefs tight end seething, with an insider revealing to the Daily Mail that Kelce is "livid that the President of the United States is talking negatively about Taylor."

Despite his anger, the 35-year-old star is choosing to channel his emotions productively rather than engaging in a public spat with the former president.
"He is so mad that he is going to use it as motivation during training for the season ahead, especially if Trump continues talking," the insider revealed.
The source added that Kelce feels constrained from defending Swift publicly. "Since Travis can't say anything publicly because that would just open another can of worms, he has to figure out ways to get it out of his system because he would love to protect Taylor and stick up for her. But keeping quiet is the move he has to do right now."

The situation creates a potentially awkward dynamic between Kelce and his teammate Patrick Mahomes, as Mahomes' wife Brittany has expressed public support for Trump without formally endorsing him.
Since Swift began dating Kelce in 2023, she and fellow WAG Brittany have developed a close friendship, bonding during nights out, holidays and at Chiefs games.

However, according to the source, the political differences haven't caused any friction between the teammates who have played together for eight years.
"One thing that is good, is it isn't causing any drama with his teammates as of yet, especially with Brittany Mahomes being a Trump supporter, there is no ill will with Patrick," the insider explained.
"They don't talk about politics around each other."

The insider added: "But as of right now, Travis just hates that Taylor has to be brought up in these conversations, especially from a man who is supposed to be protecting and serving all Americans. It is very frustrating."
Trump's attack comes at a particularly challenging time for Swift, who is currently embroiled in a legal dispute involving her former best friend Blake Lively and actor Justin Baldoni.
A bombshell legal letter submitted Wednesday by Baldoni's legal team amid his dispute with "It Ends With Us" co-star Lively claimed the actress attempted to coerce Swift into publicly supporting her by threatening to leak years of their private text messages.
