Luis Diaz has established himself as a key member of Liverpool's fearsome frontline, but could reportedly be offloaded this summer.

Liverpool are reportedly open to offers for Luis Diaz this summer if they're able to tie Mohamed Salah and two other players down to long-term contracts.

The Reds are braced for a new era after this season following Jurgen Klopp's shock decision to end his contract early.

Klopp's deal wasn't set to expire until 2026, but Liverpool have now been forced to bring forward their contingency plan to replace the iconic head coach.

But while the club are still deciding on who can take the job after Klopp, they're also getting ready for a huge transfer window in the summer.

Both Thiago Alcantara and Joel Matip are set to leave with their contracts running out at the end of the season.

But decisions need to be made quickly on the futures of Salah, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk.

All three are out of contract in 2025 and The Sun claim Liverpool's priority for the next three months is agreeing new deals for them all.

Salah is already the club's top earner and is attracting plenty of interest from the Saudi Pro League.

Liverpool fended off a late approach for Salah last summer and it doesn't appear as though they're willing to cash in this time either.

It's claimed that Diaz may have to be sacrificed in the transfer window if Liverpool end up tying Salah down to a new deal.

Nothing is likely to be done at the club until a new sporting director is appointed.

But the report claims that the position could be filled 'in the coming fortnight' and they'll have a say on Klopp's replacement.

It's been suggested that Liverpool are exploring the possibility of bringing Michael Edwards back to the club, who helped shape Klopp's squad in the early years.

Diaz still has three years remaining on his contract with Liverpool and has been a revelation on Merseyside since his move in January 2022.

He's been key to Liverpool's success in recent weeks with the likes of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez and Diogo Jota picking up injuries.

Diaz scored in recent league wins over Chelsea, Burnley and Luton and played the full 120 minutes in the Carabao Cup final win over the Blues at the weekend.

Liverpool will likely need Diaz again when they return to action this weekend when they go up against Nottingham Forest.

He was rested for the FA Cup tie against Southampton in the week with Klopp giving youth a chance.

But Diaz will likely return with Nunez and Salah still doubts to make their return from injury.
