Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson struggled to contain his emotions as he visited Anfield to honour his late team-mate Diogo Jota.
The Ajax midfielder was visibly distraught as he placed flowers and a Liverpool scarf at the stadium.
Henderson, who shared the pitch with Jota for three seasons after the forward's 2020 transfer from Wolves, left a touching message with his tribute.
His note read: "Rest in peace my friend, along with your brother Andre. We will all miss you. Love Hendo + family."

The England international joined countless Liverpool supporters who have gathered at the ground to remember the 28-year-old forward.
The tragedy occurred when Jota's Lamborghini suffered a tyre blowout whilst overtaking on the A-52 at Cernadilla near Zamora, approximately ten miles from the Portuguese border. The vehicle rolled and caught fire, with emergency services unable to rescue the brothers.
Jota's younger brother Andre Silva, 26, who played for Portuguese second division club Penafiel, was travelling with him.

Reports from Portugal indicated the pair were driving to Santander to board a ferry to Britain, as Diogo had been advised against flying following recent lung surgery.
The accident happened merely two weeks after Jota's wedding to Rute Cardoso in Porto. The couple had three children together, making the loss even more devastating for the family left behind.
Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk expressed being "absolutely devastated and in total disbelief" at losing his teammate of five years. In an Instagram statement, he wrote: "What a human being, what a player, but most importantly what an unbelievable family man."

Van Dijk pledged support to Jota's family, stating: "I promise you that in these difficult times and beyond we will always be there for your family." He concluded by calling Jota "a champion forever, number 20 forever."
Andy Robertson shared deeply personal memories of his friendship with Jota, describing him as "the most British foreign player I've ever met."
The defender recalled watching darts and horse racing together, with a trip to Cheltenham this season being a particular highlight.

In a poignant display of football solidarity, supporters from rival clubs came together in grief. One particularly moving scene showed a Liverpool fan walking alongside an Everton supporter, both carrying flowers to lay at the growing memorial outside Anfield.
