Meanwhile, on Sunday, Wright's beloved Arsenal lost 2-0 to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Nico O'Reilly netted twice for City, who now have momentum as they look to leapfrog the Gunners at the top of the Premier League table.
Wright, speaking after the game, suggested Arsenal were now under immense pressure as they look to win a first league title since the days of Arsene Wenger back in 2004.

“People talk about how they win games ‘oh it’s set pieces’ – it doesn’t matter, everyone knows that. We’ve got a DNA of winning games resiliently. They’ve got to kick into this because this team know it’s not over.”
