Gary Neville found himself at the centre of a social media storm this evening after Premier League fans accused him of bias during his Sky Sports commentary of Manchester City versus Arsenal.
The former Manchester United defender was on punditry duties alongside Peter Drury for what many are calling a potential title decider at the Etihad.
But it didn't take long for supporters to voice their frustration online, with several claiming Neville was clearly rooting for the Gunners to come away with a result.
The backlash came thick and fast on social media, with fans questioning whether the co-commentator could remain neutral during such a high-stakes encounter.

The match itself was a tense affair, with City taking the lead through a brilliant individual effort from Rayan Cherki in the 16th minute.
But Arsenal weren't behind for long – just two minutes later, Kai Havertz capitalised on a mistake from City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma to level things up.
It was Neville's reaction to the equaliser that really got fans talking.
As Havertz pounced on the Italian keeper's error, Neville let out a massive "WOAHHHH" before exclaiming: "This is what we wanted… [Cherki's] brilliance cancelled out."
That enthusiastic response to Arsenal's goal was all it took for viewers to flood social media with complaints about the pundit's apparent lack of impartiality.

The criticism online was relentless, with one fan branding Neville "the worst most biased commentator on planet earth."
Another wrote: "All I wish is for Gary Neville to never be a commentator ever again, you can hear the envy and contempt from him."
One viewer simply said: "I don't know how much longer I can stand listening to Gary Neville."
Others were even more direct, with one posting: "Gary Neville is so f** desperate for Arsenal to win this league ain't he."
The commentary duo as a whole came under fire too, with one fan slamming: "Peter Drury and Gary Neville - a really hard to listen to commentary duo.
"Drury spouting 'poetic' nonsense, Neville adding no value other than retrospective comments that we can all see."
City went on to win the match 2-1 against Arsenal, putting them within three points of the Gunners with a game in hand with six league games to go.
