The former racing chief has been out of Formula One since July

Following his dismissal from Red Bull Racing in July, Christian Horner has embarked on a lucrative new role.

The 51-year-old has begun a new career in public speaking, commanding fees of £25,000 per engagement through agency JLA.

The eye-watering figure comes despite the former team principal receiving a substantial financial settlement earlier this year, with figures varying between £75million and £80million.

Horner's departure from Red Bull came after two decades leading the Austrian team, during which he oversaw eight Drivers' championship and six Constructors' Championship victories.

His exit followed a challenging period marked by poor team performance and controversy surrounding inappropriate messages allegedly sent to a female staff member.

The colossal financial arrangement permits Horner to re-enter Formula One from 2026, according to Sky Sports F1.

Meanwhile, his speaking engagements are being marketed by JLA, which promotes his experience building Red Bull into championship winners despite facing competitors with superior funding and resources.

The agency's promotional material highlights how Horner transformed a new entrant into a dominant force within five years, securing major success across two dominant four-season spells.

His presentations focus on managing both human and technological aspects essential for sporting success, drawing from his tenure as Formula One's longest-serving team principal since joining Red Bull at its 2005 inception.

Horner's latest role comes just days after Haas team principal Ayao Komatsu revealed that the former Red Bull chief initiated contact with the American-owned team regarding a possible position.

"Yeah, it is true that he approached us. Then one of our guys had an exploratory talk," Komatsu confirmed ahead of the Singapore Grand Prix this weekend.

"And that's it. Nothing has gone any further. It is finished," Komatsu firmly stated, however.

Reports suggest Horner sought an executive-level position offering greater independence than his previous arrangement at Red Bull, where he answered to the energy drink company's ownership.

Despite the Haas setback, other opportunities may materialise for Horner's Formula One return.

Aston Martin team principal Andy Cowell acknowledged Horner's achievements whilst discussing the possibility of future collaboration.

"I think Christian's record speaks for itself. He's a great competitor. I guess it's down to Christian to work out what he wants to do," Cowell said.

Such a move would reunite Horner with renowned designer Adrian Newey, who departed Red Bull following apparent tensions between the pair.

Alpine has also emerged as a potential destination, with speculation suggesting Horner might alternatively pursue establishing a new Formula One team with private investment backing.
