The Nottingham Forest coach has yet to get a win since taking over from Nuno Espirito Santo

Three matches into his reign at Nottingham Forest, Ange Postecoglou has yet to secure his first victory - and there are already calls that he could be sacked.

The Australian manager took charge following Nuno Espirito Santo's departure in September after disagreements with the club's Global Head of Football Edu and owner Evangelos Marinakis.

His tenure began with a 3-0 loss to Arsenal last weekend. Forest then squandered a two-goal advantage against Swansea City in the Carabao Cup, conceding an equalizer in the 93rd minute before Cameron Burgess netted the winner four minutes later.

Saturday's 1-1 draw at Burnley extended the winless run. Neco Williams scored early for Forest, but Jaidon Anthony's shot deflected off Oleksandr Zinchenko for an own goal.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jamie O'Hara has expressed serious doubts about Postecoglou's prospects at the City Ground.

Speaking on talkSPORT's Game Day Phone-In, O'Hara suggested the Australian manager's position already appears precarious.

"The appointment is unbelievable, in my opinion," O'Hara said.

"A stable football club with an identity who had done unbelievable last season, got yourselves back in Europe when you were one of the favourites to go down. And then you sack the manager?"

When a Forest supporter predicted Postecoglou "won't make Christmas," O'Hara responded: "You know what, I don't know if he will. That's not a bad shout."

O'Hara emphasised that Forest are already eliminated from one trophy competition and warned: "It's not looking good already."

Fan frustration has reached boiling point, with one supporter calling the manager "Ange Poste-no-clue" during the radio phone-in.

"He's useless," the caller named Richard stated. "Talk about three steps forward, two steps backwards. I just can't understand the appointment, I don't get it."

Former Liverpool winger Jermaine Pennant echoed these concerns about Nuno's dismissal.

"Getting rid of Nuno, even if you're not seeing eye-to-eye, sometimes you have just got to bite your lip and do what's best for the club," Pennant said. "Getting rid of him, everyone's scratching their heads. Surely you've got to think the grass is not greener."

The decision to replace Nuno, who had returned European football to the City Ground, continues to perplex pundits and supporters alike.

Forest's Europa League clash with Real Betis on Wednesday presents a critical opportunity for Postecoglou to halt his winless start.

The match in Andalusia marks the club's return to European competition after a 30-year absence.

The Australian manager will be desperate to avoid extending his poor run to four games without victory.

During his time at Tottenham, Postecoglou demonstrated his ability to deliver silverware, guiding Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in last season's final.

However, with pressure mounting and doubts growing about his tactical approach, Wednesday's encounter could prove pivotal for his future at the City Ground.
