Justin Hood has revealed ambitious plans to expand his Chinese takeaway dreams beyond a single restaurant, with the darts sensation now eyeing a mobile food unit to serve his fellow professionals.
The 32-year-old Somerset player wants to open a takeaway in Weston-super-Mare but is also plotting to bring his culinary venture directly to PDC Pro Tour events.
"After they've taken prize money off me, when they've beaten me, they can spend it on my Chinese van," Hood explained.
He and his wife have already devised witty names for the mobile operation, including "Egg Fried Price" — a nod to Welsh star Gerwyn Price — and "Oche to the Wokky".

Hood's journey to the Alexandra Palace quarter-finals represents one of the tournament's most remarkable underdog stories.
The No 86 only turned professional in January and was priced at 1,000-1 to claim the £1 million top prize.
His run has already secured £100,000 in prize money, and should he triumph, it would mark the greatest outsider victory since Rob Cross lifted the trophy during his debut campaign in 2018.

Tonight, on New Year's Eve, Hood will prepare for the biggest match of his career with a Chinese meal before facing two-time world champion Gary Anderson tomorrow.
Following his third-round victory over Ryan Meikle on 29 December, Hood and nine family members celebrated by ordering £300 worth of Chinese food.
Hood's love affair with Chinese cuisine began at 15 when he first tried it after a Super League match, ordering egg fried rice and chicken curry on the way home.

Five facts darts fans might not know | PA/GBNEWS"And I never stopped since," he said.
The Weston-super-Mare resident typically consumes the food two or three times weekly, though his newfound wealth has increased that frequency.
"Well, I've got a bit more money now, so probably seven," Hood admitted.
His standard order features special curry, egg fried rice, Singapore chow mein, barbecue ribs, prawn toast, salt and pepper chicken, salt and pepper chips and barbecue sauce. Whatever his wife leaves behind, he polishes off the following morning.
Despite his passion for the cuisine, Hood confessed he lacks any cooking ability whatsoever.
"I burn toast. I am not being trusted to cook. No chance," he said.

Hood grew up in Glastonbury and took his first job at 16 working for the Carpetright chain, developing his passion for darts during his teenage years.
One standout memory from his early career was defeating the late Mike Gregory, the 1992 BDO world finalist, in a Super League match.
Unusually for a darts player, Hood has no tattoos, but he intends to change that after this tournament by having his wedding ring permanently inked onto his left hand.
"I've been married now for six years. I'm a left-handed player. I don't like wearing a ring on that hand," he explained, noting that wearing an actual ring affected his game.
He plans to get the tattoo during the two to three week break following the World Championship.
