The 50-year-old's name was also conspicuously absent from the "Past Champions Not Playing" section, appearing instead among the 2026 competitors.
The present tense phrasing and updated start count, following his 26th appearance in 2024, have fuelled optimism Woods will compete when the tournament commences on April 9.
Despite the website update, Woods himself has not officially confirmed his participation in the upcoming major.
