Timothy Laurence is taking steps to stop Princess Anne from "burning out", an insider has claimed.
The Princess Royal is the hardest-working member of the Royal Family, regularly coming out on top in terms of the number of engagements carried out.
In 2024, Anne completed 474 royal engagements at home and abroad, whilst King Charles came in second place with 329.
However, the Princess Royal's husband, Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, is said to be keen for his wife to spend some more time relaxing at their Gatcombe Park Estate.

A source told the Times: “A driving force is also Tim, [Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, Anne’s husband], who is very supportive of her.
“One of his main concerns has always been that she doesn’t burn herself out.”
A former aide recalled diary planning meetings with Princess Anne, claiming she regularly resisted attempts to create space for downtime.
They said: “I’d look at the diary and suggest, ‘Ma’am, you really can’t do another weekend of engagements, it’s your third weekend in a row.’

“‘Why not?’ she would say. ‘Because I’ll get a rocket from your husband on Monday asking, ‘When are we going to spend some time together?’”
Sir Tim and Anne tied the knot in 1992 in a small family wedding in Scotland.
The then-42-year-old arrived at Crathie church near Balmoral Castle accompanied by her father, the late Prince Philip, and her daughter and bridesmaid, Zara Tindall, who at the time was just 11 years old.
Princess Anne, dressed in a simple white suit with white blossoms in her hair, and Sir Tim, in a Royal Navy uniform, emerged from the church to cheers from about 500 well-wishers.
