Jake Hall's cause of death confirmed after Towie star, 35, found dead at Spanish villa

Sources close to the investigation indicated that while Mr Hall suffered multiple wounds, emergency responders identified the thorax injury as the most traumatic and likely cause of death.

A Civil Guard spokesman stated: "There is nothing pointing to it being the result of a crime at this stage."

The post-mortem examination was scheduled to take place in Palma, the Majorcan capital, though results will be sent to an investigating judge and not publicly released, as is standard practice in Spain.

An investigating magistrate in Inca has received an initial police report and will obtain autopsy findings as they become available.

However, the post-mortem alone will provide only partial answers, with tissue samples being dispatched to a specialist laboratory on the Spanish mainland for further analysis.

These additional tests are expected to help establish whether Mr Hall was under the influence of alcohol and drugs at the time of his death.

Civil Guard officers questioned four men and two women who were present at the property when Mr Hall's body was discovered. Their nationalities have not been disclosed.

Police were alerted to the scene at approximately 7:30am on Wednesday after officers in Santa Margalida reported finding a man's body at the rental accommodation.

Local newspaper Ultima Hora reported that a neighbour had overheard the group discussing drugs the day before the tragedy occurred.

One resident told the publication he was woken around 2am by extremely loud noises, describing vibrations through the walls that lasted roughly five minutes before stopping.

Another neighbour reported noticing nothing unusual.

Mr Hall, who rose to fame on The Only Way Is Essex in 2015 and appeared across seasons 14 to 17, leaves behind eight-year-old daughter River with former partner Misse Beqiri.

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star issued a statement through her representatives following the news of his death.

"At this time, Misse's focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss," the statement began.

"The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately."

The couple had a turbulent relationship and were briefly engaged in May 2018 before separating.

The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office confirmed it is supporting Mr Hall's family and liaising with Spanish authorities.

Tommy Mallet, Mr Hall's pal and former Towie co-star, paid tribute on Instagram, writing: "The only thing weirder than us was our relationship & that’s what made it special.. you inspired me to start my first brand & give me inspiration to start all over again when I see you do it… See you on the other side too buff." (sic)

Elsewhere, another former Towie star, Georgia Kousoulou, echoed: "'Today has felt so heavy. Life happens so quick, sometimes we don't stop and really appreciate what's in front of us at the time until they are just memories.

"Looking back at the pictures and videos when we were young, on TOWIE and seeing some of my best days of my life with Jake and all of our TOWIE family. Our bonds we all had were so special, we all grew up together on and off screen, Essex was such a small place then.

"We all were out all the time together, life was just more simple than when we were young. I will never forget them memories. Forever RIP Jake."

And current star Lauren Goodger also wrote on her socials: "Terrible sad news this morning. My thoughts are with his daughter, family and friends. RIP Jake, so sad." (sic)
