In-person signings and bookshops featuring Sarah are now also being cancelled

Sarah Ferguson’s "unsalvageable" £12.99 book is being "sent to the recycling centre", insiders have confirmed.

The book, "Flora and Fern: Kindness Along The Way", was originally scheduled to be published on October 9 but was then delayed to November 20.

However, sources have since confirmed that 10,000 copies of the unpublished novel are being pulped - a publishing term for withdrawing from the market and recycling the paper.

The insider told the Mail: "It's not been delayed, it's being pulped.

"It's an acknowledgement of the inevitable. No one is going to want to buy it."

GB News has contacted Sarah's spokesman and New Frontier Publishing for comment.

Fergie's future as an author, which is how she has made the majority of her income since divorcing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in 1996, is now very unclear.

In-person signings and bookshops featuring Sarah are now also being cancelled.

GETTY

One local bookshop that had planned a meet and greet with Fergie has now been forced to refund tickets to the public.

They told the publication: "It's a mess. The book is unsalvageable."

The Bookseller also insisted that Sarah's new book was "pulled from sale days before publication".

It is also thought that the book could no longer be sold due to the cover stating: "Sarah, Duchess of York" - a title she is no longer allowed to use.

NEW FRONTIER PUBLISHING

On October 17, it was confirmed that Andrew and Sarah would no longer use their Duke and Duchess of York titles.

Later that month, Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles "initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew."

The statement continued: "Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor."

It has since been confirmed that Andrew's surname will be hyphenated due to a rule stipulated by the late Queen Elizabeth II.

Fergie has enjoyed a long history as a children's writer, starting with Budgie the Little Helicopter in 1994, which was released two years after her separation.

The former duchess has since branched out to personal memoirs and romantic adult fiction. In total, Sarah has published over 50 books.

The mother-of-two will soon be moving out of Royal Lodge, her Windsor home since 2008, and reportedly moving in with her daughter, Princess Eugenie, in Portugal.

Meanwhile, Andrew is moving to the Sandringham estate in Norfolk.
