Prince William and Kate Middleton are ‘not thrilled’ about Prince Harry’s return to the UK to present the WellChild Awards, according to Kinsey Schofield.
The royal commentator joined hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ellie Costello on Breakfast, as she shared her insight into the royal family’s plans for marking the first anniversary of Queen Elizabeth II’s passing.
Kinsey said: “Obviously WellChild, very important charity to Prince Harry, he's been involved in it for the past 15 years. The Daily Beast here in the States, they're reporting that the Prince and Princess of Wales are not thrilled that Harry could distract from their official assignments tomorrow in regards to remembering the Queen, and that there will not be any come to Jesus or any sort of reunion, despite the fact that we're also looking at Prince Harry's birthday next week.
“We do expect to see William and Catherine be the front and centre for the anniversary of the Queen's death, and The Daily Beast here in the States reporting that friends of William and Catherine have said that they're not thrilled that Harry might make some sort of comment remembering the Queen at the WellChild event today that might distract from their official assignments.
Schofield continued her analysis of Harry’s visit, saying: “This is clearly something he's very passionate about because at this point in time he's acting as a private individual. And he's not there as an official royal or a patron, as an official royal patron. So he is doing good.
“We have to give him credit here and the idea of him spending time with these winners, getting to know them and hearing their stories, it gives us, it makes us remember and love the old Harry who we all fell in love with, years ago.”
