Dara Huang has offered a rare glimpse inside a White House Christmas reception after attending the festive event hosted by Donald Trump and Melania Trump.
Ms Huang, who is the American mother of Princess Beatrice’s stepson Wolfie, shared a video montage on social media documenting her experience at the official Christmas reception held at the White House in Washington, DC.
The footage opened with a close-up of a red and gold invitation embossed with the presidential seal, before moving inside the White House, where guests were greeted by elaborate seasonal decorations.
The invitation read: “The President and Mrs. Trump request the pleasure of your company at a Christmas Reception at The White House on Friday, December 12, 2025”.

Multiple Christmas trees adorned with white lights and red accents were positioned throughout the State Rooms, while garlands and bows lined staircases and balconies.
One clip showed a string ensemble dressed in red military-style jackets performing among the decorated trees, adding to the formal atmosphere of the reception.
Other moments captured guests mingling in the State Rooms and admiring the Christmas displays, which extended from floor to ceiling.

The First Lady wore a tailored cream skirt suit paired with nude heels, while the President was dressed in a navy suit with a red tie.
In another clip, Mr Trump appeared on an upper balcony smiling and pointing towards attendees below as the reception continued.
Ms Huang also shared footage of herself inside the White House, wearing a red dress layered with a white blazer trimmed with dark fur.
She later filmed herself outside the White House gates at night, gesturing back towards the illuminated building behind her.

In her caption, Ms Huang reflected on the significance of the visit and described it as an unexpected first experience of Washington, DC.
She wrote: “Ever wonder what a Christmas party at the White House looks like?!
“I definitely never dreamed of my first visit in DC being at the White House attending the Christmas Reception.”
She continued: “Come take a sneak peek at what it’s like to go behind the big white iconic doors.
“It was a really incredible experience and I’ll be forever grateful for it. I love the capital’s history and being able to be a part of it.”
Ms Huang also offered thanks directly to the hosts, adding: “A big thank you to the First Lady Mrs. Trump, The President and @brettrat.”
The post has attracted attention due to Ms Huang’s connection to the British Royal Family.
She shares her son Wolfie with Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, who went on to marry Princess Beatrice in 2020.
