Her comments highlighted both the dedication required from participants and the meaningful contribution made by performers travelling from overseas to take part.
It comes after Princess Anne made a surprise visit to Ukraine in late September, meeting President Zelensky, visiting St Sophia's Cathedral, paying respects at a children's memorial, and showing support for those affected by the war, including veterans and relocated children.
The visit was made at the request of the UK Foreign Office and followed a similar trip by her nephew, Prince Harry.
Anne inherited the patronage of the Edinburgh Tattoo from her mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II, in 2006, and has maintained a dedicated presence at the event ever since.

In their tribute, The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo expressed gratitude for the countless performers who have shaped the event across its 75-year history.
